Policy:

It is the policy of Simply the Best Cleaning Ltd to conduct our business at all times without risk to our employees, to the employees of our customers, to others utilising or in the vicinity of the area we are working, and to the community.

The occupational health and safety of our people involved in the company's activities are a matter of utmost importance. We are committed to providing and maintaining a safe and healthy working environment.

To strengthen this commitment and ensure its success, resources will be made available to maintain a healthy and safe environment, to define standards, to provide information and to comply with statutory requirements.

Every employee is required to share in the commitment to this policy:

• Each manager and supervisor has a reponsibility for the health and safety at work of employees working under their direction.
• Each employee is expected to play their vital and responsible role in avoiding accidents and in acting safely at all times for their own welfare and that of their fellow employees, visitors and the public.
• In co-operation, and through management, the Health and Safety Managers will implement the Simply the Best Policy of Occupational Health and Safety in all places of work.

All equipment used by Simply the Best is "industry standard" meaning that it complies with New Zealand electrical safety standards, is checked and certified every six months, and repairs are carried out by a registered electrician when required.

Smoke Free:

Smoking is not allowed in any workplace operated by Simply the Best and smoking is not allowed in any company vehicles. Smoking is strictly forbidden in the buildings and grounds of schools and early childhood centres in compliance with New Zealand law.
